About Inter-Hiring

What is Inter-Hiring?

Inter-Hiring is a UK-based structured hiring system for founders making their first three to ten hires without an HR team. It captures how a founder actually runs their business, then uses that to generate a tailored job advert, screening questions, and a structured interview guide, and to score candidates consistently.

Inter-Hiring is not a recruitment agency and doesn't charge placement fees.

How does Inter-Hiring work?

Inter-Hiring starts with a Deep Dive into how the founder runs their business and what they genuinely value. Candidates then complete short scenario-based screening questions before CVs are reviewed. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed using a structured guide, and the founder makes every final decision.

Every stage uses the same criteria, so candidates can be compared fairly from first application to final decision.

How much does Inter-Hiring cost?

Inter-Hiring plans start at £150 per month on a 12-month commitment, with unlimited roles during that commitment. Higher tiers add managed job advertising and additional support. For comparison, a single UK recruitment agency placement typically costs 15-20% of the hire's first-year salary.

Full plan details are on the pricing page.

Is Inter-Hiring a recruitment agency?

No. Inter-Hiring is a hiring system, not a recruitment agency. It doesn't find or supply candidates for a fee, and it never makes hiring decisions. The business advertises its own roles, runs its own process using Inter-Hiring's structure, and makes every final decision itself.

The business also keeps its hiring process, criteria, and records, rather than relying on an outside agency for each hire.

What research is Inter-Hiring based on?

Inter-Hiring is built on established personnel selection research, including structured interviews, situational judgement tests, and person-organisation fit. These methods have been validated across decades of published studies, including Schmidt and Hunter's 1998 meta-analysis and Kristof-Brown and colleagues' 2005 meta-analysis of 172 studies.

Inter-Hiring's own outcomes are tracked at three, six, and twelve months after each hire, so its results can be measured over time rather than assumed.

Does Inter-Hiring use AI to make hiring decisions?

No. Inter-Hiring uses AI to apply fixed, pre-defined criteria consistently — for example, classifying screening answers and assessing CVs against role requirements. The criteria are set by the methodology, not invented by AI, and every hiring decision is made by the business owner.

Candidates are shown a privacy notice before applying, explaining how their information is used.

Who is Inter-Hiring for?

Inter-Hiring is designed for UK founders and small business owners making their first few hires without an HR team, who want a more reliable alternative to agencies or gut-feel hiring. It suits businesses that expect to hire more than once and want a repeatable process.

It's less suited to large organisations with established HR teams and high-volume recruitment systems.
